differentiation
As Carol Ann Tomlinson has said,
differentiation means giving students multiple options for taking in information (1999).
differentiation is GIVING STUDENTS
DIFFERENT WAYS OF ACCESSING THE CURRICULUM.
special educators have been doing this for years and calling it a typical day at work.
At cgca all of our class rooms are
multi-grade and multi-ability.
differentiation is not just a good idea
it is a requirement.
what is differentiated?
content
- the material to be taught.
process
- how the material is presented.
product
- how the students show you what they have learned.
and why technology?
the most fundamental aspect of differentiation is starting where the students are - finding their "entry point."
Technology is where the students are.
